Job Description

Job Title:Wrapper.Department: Doorsamp; Parts.Reporting To: Lead Hand, Doorsamp; Parts.Location: 12185 86th Avenue, Surrey BC, V3W 3H8.Hours: 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM.JOB SUMMARY:At Merit Kitchens, theWrapper will stretch wrapping pallets around finished doors and parts, to ensure safety of our products during transportation. The Wrapper will load and unload finished product, and confirm appropriate labels and dates are placed on each part.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Stretch wrapping pallets to secure the safety of parts during transportation.
  • Load and unload finished products and materials.
  • Attend to production inquiries regarding discrepancies in lot, quantity, and/or item description.
  • Confirm appropriate labels and dates are placed on each door or part piece.
  • Package the appropriate screws and pieces for each door or part piece.
  • Assist in inventory count and control.
  • Carry out the Merit Quality Management System to ensure all pieces shipped out meet the Merit standard.
  • Communicate any hardware issues to your Lead Hand immediately.
  • Ensure work area is clean at the beginning and end of the workday.
  • Assist any other departments if necessary.
  • Assist in shipping cabinets as required, ensuring they are loaded properly for transportation.
The Package Wrapper may perform other duties as delegated by Management. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Previous wrapping experience is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of workplace hazardous materials.
  • Knowledge of safe lifting and handling techniques.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Time management, organization, and adaptability skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Basic computer skills.
