Job Description

Position:Warehouse ForemanPosition Type:Full time PermanentLocation:Surrey, BC.Work Schedule:Tuesday to Saturday (7:30am - 4:00pm)OpportunityFirst Truck Centre, doing business as Velocity Truck Centres, is currently accepting resumes for an experienced Warehouse Foreman for our Surrey BC branch. This role will lead the warehouse in the day-to-day operations and to coach staff on efficiencies and creating a better end user experience. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise and control workflow. Delegation of tasks. Distribute workforce as needed throughout department.
  • Supervise staff to ensure work is timely, effective, and in accordance with quality requirements.
  • Communicate job expectations and coach employees on procedures.
  • Train, rotate and cross-train staff on each aspect of the warehouse processes for all shifts.
  • Drive compliance with safety, quality, and productivity goals for department.
  • Foster a culture of accountability.
  • Ensuring that all tools and equipment in warehouse are safe and operational.
  • Assist in operations as necessary to achieve department goals.
Required Qualifications
  • Initiative-taker able to work in a fast-paced, detailed environment.
  • Above average computer skills. Used to maintain records, prepare orders, post receipts, and other required computer work.
  • Strong interpersonal / communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in a physical capacity, including heavy lifting and using tools throughout the shift.
  • Maintain a valid Class 5 driver #39;s license.
  • Forklift experience is an asset (training will be provided).
