This position provides services to all students in the Coast Mountain School District (Terrace, Kitimat and Hazelton). This position is to start as soon as possible.The speech-language pathologist provides a range of services designed to support students whose education is adversely affected by oral communication difficulties. This focus on bridging access to curriculum and learning is achieved primarily through emphases on assessment, consultation and direct instruction. This work may also take on a capacity building focus via resource development and in-service for teachers and support staff. Work with students may take place individually, in small groups or in classroom settings as appropriate.
