This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a broadcasting environment. Reporting to the Creative Director, the successful applicant will hit the ground running in a deadline-driven, client-focused environment and join our Creative team in writing commercials for both radio and TV for a range of advertisers.Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize and write effective TV and radio commercials within tight deadlines
• Carry an individual client list that is prioritized and organized on a daily basis according to workload
• Converse and correspond with clients on a regular basis regarding commercial content, approvals and marketing directions
• Assign audio numbers and enter traffic instructions into Wide Orbit (for radio) on a regular basis prior to the traffic deadline
• Work with the sales and production teams on a daily basis to achieve the highest quality end product within the sales and production deadlines
• Maintain a current knowledge of station, provincial and national advertising regulations

Qualifications:

• Degree or Diploma from a recognized Broadcast/Journalism Program or equivalent experience
• At least one year experience as a copy writer
• Proven to be a positive, creative, visual thinker
• Proven to be a highly organized individual with strong attention-to-detail
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Wide Orbit and Adobe Audition knowledge an asset
• Advertising and/or client service background an asset
