Company DescriptionDining room Attendant - Red Chris MineFull time positionsRemote site: – Drive In, Drive OutRotation: 14 days IN – 14 days OutHourly wage: $20.33 per hour (overtime after 8h/day and 40h/week)Benefits: after 3 monthsShifts: Average 10-hour shiftTravel Pay: Flat rate – Round trip ($50)Shuttle bus: Free shuttle bus from: Terrace BC, Kitwanga, BC.Hotel allocation: 125$ if over 100km from site.A negative test for control substances in required to work on site and have access to the site.Who we are:

Job DescriptionPosition Summary:TNDC Red Chris mine is seeking a Dining room Attendant who is energetic and dynamic to work in the Kitchen.Are you seeking an opportunity where your initiative and creativity will be highlighted every day, where your management skills will be recognized If that is what motivates you, we have the position you are searching for.As a member of our culinary team, you will always provide the highest quality of customer service under the general supervision of the Executive Chefs.Under the general supervision of the First Cook, prepares and cooks foodstuffs in quantities according to menu and number of persons to be servedTo promote the philosophy of privacy, dignity, independence, and fulfilment for all clients, treating everyone with respect and encouraging participation in all tasks.Under the general supervision of the First Cook, prepares and cooks foodstuffs in quantities according to menu and number of persons to be servedCleans and maintains dining room area including shelves and floorsCleans and sets dining room tables and fills beverage, salt, sugar and other condiment containersCleans and maintains supplies for steam and salad tables, such as dishes and utensilsPrepares coffee and cold beverages, and may be required to work on steam tables from time to timePerforms other related duties as assigned by supervisorQualificationsWhat You’ll Need to Succeed
  • Formal education is not required; however, preference will be given to applicants with a high school diploma or GED
  • Must have experience as a Camp Attendant, Dining Attendant, in a remote camp setting
  • High School Diploma an asset but not required
  • One year of experience preferred
  • Related kitchen and dining room experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals, products, and equipment
  • Ability to use tools and equipment and to perform the physical aspect of the job
  • Knowledge and understanding of safe work practices including WHMIS, SIMDUT
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including split shifts and weekend coverage
  • Proven commitment to safety, health, and environmental standards
  • Able to take direction, follow instructions and adapt to changing priorities and multi-tasking
  • Strong work ethic with an ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • A team player that works respectfully and cooperatively with others
  • Ability to work under supervision and follow standard procedures, and compliance with all health and safety standards

Additional InformationPhysical Demands:
  • Specific physical characteristics and abilities are required to perform the work, such as agility, dexterity, and long period of walking, standing, bending carrying or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 50 pounds or more
Conditions of Employment:
  • Pass mandatory pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and fitness for work assessment where required
  • Valid Food Safe – Level 1 Certificate preferred
  • Valid Occupational First Aid Certification (OFA) - Level 1 or 3 preferred
  • Valid WHMIS Certification preferred
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license preferred; not required for all positions
