The competencies required for this position includeeffective and culturally relevant communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, managing for results and change and critical thinkingskills. The position also requires self-management, effective use of information technology, strong supervisory skills and strong accountingskills.It is an expectation of all staff within the university college that they will observe standards of behavior consistent with their role as anemployee of the University College of the North. The incumbent must ensure that the functional areas under her/his control comply with theWorkplace Safety and Health Act and all applicable UCN policies and procedures.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS• Business Administrative Certificate or Diploma

  • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience
  • Experience in customer service
  • Combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a busy, interruptive office environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office & Zoom)
  • Effective critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Dependability is essential
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Commitment to life-long learning
ASSETS• Experience and/or knowledge and understanding of Indigenous cultures
  • Ability to speak an Indigenous language
