We're about doing what's right and feeling good about it.Who we areWe are seeking a highly motivated and career minded individual to join our team as a Business Intelligence Consultant on the analytics side in our Analytics department.Position DetailsIn this role, you will be working on things like:

  • Analyze complex data elements from a variety of database servers and systems
  • Write complex SQL queries and create AdHoc reporting as required
  • Focusing on business challenges, apply statistical methodology to complex problems selecting the most appropriate tools/models and build hypotheses for solving those challenges
  • Recommend operational system enhancements to improve data quality and analytical accuracy
  • Support lines of business in a variety of analytical needs including development of robust analytical plans, statistical analysis, key performance indicators, benchmarking, data visualizations, routine and ad hoc reporting
  • Provide analytics support on key projects/initiatives aligned to business or organizational strategies
  • Create comprehensive and automated BI & Reporting solutions to utilize data infrastructure, EDW and external data sources
  • Utilize machine learning techniques to proactively identify opportunities for business process improvement
  • Build and maintain PowerBI elements including reports, dashboards and datasets
  • Investigate and document root cause for any data-related business process failure and assist in fix design and implementation
  • Provide technical guidance, support, and expertise to the team including assessing Associate work, providing feedback and documenting coaching notes
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • 5+ years of expert-level experience with BI tools (PowerBI, QlikView, QlikSense, Tableau)
  • 5+ years of expert-level hands-on coding in SQL and DAX
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server architecture, administration and management
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Visual Studio
  • 3+ years of experience with query debugging, optimization and performance tuning in a big data environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)
  • Proficiency in business intelligence lifecycle
  • Experience developing and implementing enterprise-scale reports and dashboards
  • Ability to take complex data and visualize to identify and describe creative solutions to analytical and data problems
  • Ability to develop analytical frameworks and generate / communicate business insights
  • Attention to detail and high aptitude for problem solving
  • Good communication skills
  • Familiarity with VBA, Google App Script (JavaScript), C+ and/or Oracle
  • Proficiency with R or Python is an asset
