Their full range of hospitality and healthcare products are readily available for immediate shipment and priced to provide customers with the best value.What You Will Do:The Chief Financial Officer (CFO)is an integral part of the leadership team to help drive the financial and strategic success of the business. The CFO will be responsible for not only leading a successful financial portfolio but can use their knowledge to support operations in identifying and developing improvements. This position will also have direct oversight over our Edmonton, Alberta operations.Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:Reporting and advising on the financial well-being of the organization by providing financial projections, forecasting, preparing growth plans and leading teams.Developing financial operational strategies by evaluating trends; establishing critical measurements; determining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies; resolving problems and implementing change.Monitoring industry environment, captures trends, and provides strategic guidance on revenue opportunities; analyzes organizational operations, identified opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, system enhancement, human resources and any capital funds required to achieve opportunities.Continuously monitors financial and operational results; reports on financial status by developing forecasts, reporting results, analyzing variances and developing improvements.Oversight of day-to-day operations with direct oversight of the finance and accounting department activities such as AR and AP.Lead and manage the Edmonton, Alberta operations by developing and leading operational plans that include procurement, customer service, human resources, and managing the budget.Work closely with senior management (CEO & President) to develop and finalize business plans for board approval; develops and manages budgets to achieve productivity for the business.Who You Are:Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in senior level position. Experience in warehouse and distribution industry considered an asset.Completion of a 4-year bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or equivalent. Completion of MBA preferred.CA/CPA certification considered an asset.Demonstrates sound judgement and conducts self with high regard to ethical standards.Able to establish trusting working relationships with all levels of the organization to be a strong business partner.Proven experience in financial planning, managing profitability, strategic planning, and establishing vision, forecasting and budget development.Superior communication skills.Innovative problem-solver comfortable challenging the status-quo to offer new ideas and concepts that will benefit the company.Willingness to travel within Canada (1 week in duration on a quarterly basis).Winsham is committed to accommodating applicants with disabilities throughout the hiring process, in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
