Bathurst Centre Dental Care in Thornhill is looking for a friendly, reliable and organized Dental Assistant (Level II) to join our team. Our full-time dental assistant moved recently and has just accepted a position that is much closer to home.Required hours of availability: Mondays 9:45am – 7:00pmTuesdays 9:45am-7:00pmThursdays 9:45pm-8:00pmAlternating Fridays 9:45am-3:00 pmSaturdays 8:45am – 3:00pm (no long weekend Saturdays)Requirement: 1 year experience (preferred) but willing to train new grad.Responsibilities- Welcoming patients and preparing them for dental procedures- Chair-side assisting with dental procedures- Sterilizing and disinfecting instruments- Supra-coronal polishing when needed- Applying fluoride when needed- Forming preliminary impressions for study models and occlusal registrations- Making whitening trays and retainers (will provide training)- Taking dental x-rays (bitewing, PAs and panoramic)- Providing postoperative instructions and whitening instructions as directed by the dentist- Monitoring and re-ordering of inventory- Will be trained for occasional reception dutiesExperience with any dental software a plus but not necessaryBenefits: paid vacation, free dental work for the individual and discounted rates for family.To apply, send your cover letter and resume/CV.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $22.00-$27.00 per hourSchedule:
