Hiring for two locations (Aurora and Thornhill) -FulltimeWe are seeking a Pastry Chef to join our team! You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and dedicate time to expanding our clientele base to establish the bakery’s brand and reputation.Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day culinary operationsCheck freshness and quality of ingredientsAssist in the development of menu itemsStandardize recipesPrepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies etc. following traditional and modern recipesCreate new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers. ​​​​Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting that fit within brandSupervise and coordinate all pastry and dessert preparation and presentationMonitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and make appropriate orders within budgetGuide and motivate pastry assistants and bakers to work more efficientlyIdentify staffing needs and help recruit and train personnelQualifications: Previous experience in culinary arts, cooking, or other related fieldsKnowledge of cost and labor systemsPassion for baked goods and new techniquesStrong leadership qualitiesAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environmentProven experience as Pastry Chef, baker or relevant roleGreat attention to detail and creativityOrganizing and leadership skillsWorking knowledge of baking with ingredient limitations (pastries that are gluten free, vegan, sugarless etc.)Certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking or relevant field Is an asset but not mandatoryJob Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $34,000.00-$45,000.00 per yearFlexible Language Requirement:
