Were about doing whats right and feeling good about it.Position DetailsReporting to the Director of Product and Pricing, the Product Manager, Group Benefits, Travel Insurance will drive the following:Lead the development and management of Group Travel Insurance Products – following industry best practices, and applying critical thinking and fact-based decision making to build and implement strategies that grow the number of Canadian travellers insured by Orion.Generate insight from research/data to recommend strategic product changes.Understand risk management at a national perspective to ensure compliance, profitability, competitive positioning and relevance to products in each province.Build and maintain a solid understanding of competitive landscape, representing an “expert” level of knowledge on Orion’s position to its competitors, at territorial, provincial and national levels.Understand and promote competitive advantages of Orion Insurance products.Establish and foster relationships as a subject matter expert (SME) for business discussions and decision making for Group Travel insurance products.Lead cross functional teams for product and pricing initiatives.Provide product expertise to stakeholders and internal partners including sales, marketing, underwriting, and finance.Drive change through superior product and operational management skills that support development and participation of cross-functional teams & projects – ensuring alignment with Member/customer segmentation and pricing structures.Exhibit leadership by coaching a group of individuals within the organization, providing guidance and direction appropriate to each Associate needs.As a member of Insurance Management group, actively participate in strategic planning and budgeting.Motivate, communicate and provide development opportunities for your Associates.Who You Are10 years Insurance product management, underwriting or claims experience essentialUnderstanding of operational success drivers for Group Benefit programsExperience in promoting and training that includes effective presentation and public speaking skills to influence various levels within an organization (peer, senior leaders, external partners etc.)Post-secondary education in Marketing, Business, Economics, or InsuranceHold a professional insurance designation, such as CIP, FCIP or RMS (or equivalent), or working towardsCritical thinking and problem-solving skillsExtraordinary communication skillsAbility to persuade othersProject delivery experienceBilingual (French) an assetWhat’s In It For YouCompetitive total compensation and benefits packageAnnual shared success program based on performanceAnnual merit increases based on performanceRegistered Retirement Savings Plan with a matching contribution componentComplimentary CAA MembershipOur CommitmentOur CommitmentWe are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to providing employment accommodation in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA).
