Job Description

Prasad & Company is looking for a Tax Administrator to join our Tax Department. The Tax Administrator is a member of the Tax Department, reports to the Tax Director and contributes to the overall success of the Taxation Department. The Tax Administrator collaborates with the Tax Team to ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.Prasad & Company LLP provides essential services to a varying array of businesses, not-for-profit organizations, and personal clients.   • Provide administrative support to the Tax Department
  • Compose and edit correspondence from the Tax Department to the CRA, clients, and internal team members
  • Create proposals and engagement letter
  • Generate various reports
  • Manage monthly invoicing and WIP management
  • Assemble tax packages for personal, corporate, and trust returns
  • Validate amounts on all documentation by cross-referencing returns prior to issue
  • Review working paper files for sign-off on specific forms and documentation completion including follow-up with Partners/Managers when not signed or completed
  • Coordinate projects, such as tracking status, completion dates, updating status’ and follow up with partners/managers, and staff accountants to update projects
  • Create tax projects within firm software
  • Organize Tax Department meetings, including preparing agenda, reports, etc.
  • Manage client and contact information in firm database
  • Scan documents
  • Ensure tax files are up-to-date and organized
  • Data entry and general administrative tasks
  • Assist the tax team on various projects
Requirements:
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Microsoft Teams, CaseWare, and Tax Cycle
  • Excellent keyboarding accuracy
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to liaise with clients, staff, and outside parties in a professional manner
  • Must be organized and have the ability to multi-task
  • A minimum of 2 years direct administrative experience within a public accounting firm, tax firm, bookkeeping firm
  • Professional and clear communication skills; verbal and written
  • Ability to exercise flexibility, initiative, good judgement / discretion, and strong attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to work longer/extended hours between Feb - Mar, which may include some weekends
