Walker Industries has a strong reputation for integrity and innovation while being dedicated to the communities and environment in which they operate, as well as the safety of all employees.The Opportunity:The Compensation and Benefit Specialist will report to the Director of Total Rewards and support efforts to maintain compensation program competitiveness through administrative and analysis work designed to reinforce efforts to attract, retain, and engage our workforce. By completing data analysis and leveraging market research and HR systems meaningful insights and recommendations will be generated to enhance informed business decisions, strengthen salaried and hourly wage administration accuracy, policy application consistency and other employee pay component regulation.The ability to work up to two (2) days per week remotely is an option, if desired.Candidate Profile:The successful candidate has proven HR experience from work in this area of the field for at least three years, having gained exceptional research, analysis and data management and synthesis skills while supporting employees and managers, proactively helping them find the answers they need. They will be meticulous, have outstanding business acumen, and have a sound understanding of compensation practices and analysis. Exceptional communication skills and an ability to anticipate and respond to urgencies will ensure success in effectively prioritizing and managing multiple assignments and regular deadlines. Extreme discretion is required given the volume and sensitivity of confidential, compensation data and records constantly on hand.
