Job Description

Bargaining Unit: SEIU CLERICAL - HRMStatus: Part Time (0.6 FTE) - up to 37.5 hours per week when requiredDepartment: Environmental ServicesSite: Hogarth Riverview ManorShifts: Days including WeekendsRate of Pay: $20.74 - $22.38 per hourReporting to Environmental Services management staff, the Clerk Typist is responsible for reception, clerical, and record management duties for the Environmental Services department.Qualifications:Education/Experience:

  • Diploma in office administration program or related program
  • Clerical experience preferably in a healthcare environment
Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Demonstrates accuracy, organizational skills, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work as a team member as well as independently
  • Ability to us independent judgement and maintain confidentiality of records, actions, and information
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience in working with members within a bargaining unit
  • Physical ability to meet the demands of the job
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
