Visit www.impalacanada.com for more info.Impala Canada has an immediate need for a qualified Human Resources Business Partner who will primarily focus on HR projects and driving HR best practice for Impala Canada, based out of the Toronto office with frequent travel to our LDI site, north of Thunder Bay. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package.ResponsibilitiesReporting to the VP Human Resources & Indigenous Affairs, the Human Resources Business Partner plays a key role in supporting the implementation of multiple HR projects, and ensuring we reach the highest standards of HR best practice in everything we do. The successful candidate will:Be accountable for coordination of all active HR projects and programmes and the associated timeline and project plans.Manage multiple internal and external stakeholder relationships in order to ensure projects remain on time and under budget.Support and coordinate the various annual HR cycles (including Performance Management, Talent, Succession, Compensation etc).Coordinate inputs for the company’s various HR reporting requirements (HR Scorecard, Sustainability Reporting, Board Reporting, external surveys, Workforce and HR Analytics etc).Leverage the systems and tools (both internal and external) required to maintain Impala Canada’s internal HR processes and our brand in the employment marketplace (LinkedIn, Indeed, HRIS, SuccessFactors etc).Support the various employee development programmes and coordinate participation, tracking and reporting.Work with the Communications team to ensure consistent internal and external messaging.Support the HR Manager at LDI mine to ensure our policies are maintained, up-to-date and fit-for-purpose.Support the Toronto and Thunder Bay office employees with generalist HR requirements.Support the site HR team with generalist HR activities.Support the multiple recruitment programmes driven by the site HR team (recruitment drives, events, online channels, partnerships etc).Act as the focal point for immigration applications and management.Support and coordination for employment litigation cases.Accountable for building and maintaining the annual HR calendar.Qualifications:College diploma in Human Resources required.3-5years of HR Generalist experienceDemonstrated high level of proficiency with Microsoft suite of programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint;Demonstrable experience of operating in a complex HR generalist capacity;Strong HR projects management and coordination experience;Strong HRIS administration experience;Strong Compensation and Benefit administration experience;Extensive knowledge of Inuit Societal Values, Culture, Traditions and History or a willingness to learn;Extensive knowledge of Inuit communities, in particular the North Baffin communities or a willingness to learn;Must be a multi-tasker, self-starter and highly organized;Required to have a strong sense of urgency and effectively work within tight time constraints;Must have a strong sense of ownership and have a proven track record for developing solid working relationships with internal and external stakeholders;Possess impeccable written and verbal communication skills;Willingness to learn and apply the knowledge above and beyondPrevious experience in the mining or other heavy industry is preferred;Previous experience in a unionized working environment would be an asset;Whats in it for You:The position offers a competitive remuneration package consisting of base salary, health & medical insurance, retirement savings plan and travel allowance.
