Job Description

Brunos Contracting (Thunder Bay) Limited is a heavy civil construction group with over forty years experience in heavy civil construction, road building, asphalt paving, materials production and demolition.We are currently welcoming applications for Scale Operators. Responsibilities:

  • Track all traffic coming into the yard, scale all incoming and outgoing vehicles, recording information, and using the computerized scale
  • Travel to various sites to cover for other Dispatchers when required
  • Greet drivers, customers and client coming through the scale house
  • Communicate with the drivers and supervisors over the Two-Way Radio System
  • Returning all end of day paper work and tickets to main office daily
  • Keeps immediate supervisor and Operations Manager fully informed of all problems or matters requiring his/her attention
  • Perform other duties as required
Requirements:
  • Great communication skills and ability to interface well with personnel at all levels
  • Must be self-disciplined and able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Proficient general computer skills
  • Comfortable in a Construction Environment
  • Able to work variable hours
  • Must have a drivers license and reliable transportation
  • Must have basic math skills
