Job Description

Who We Are:Impala Canada is the only Canadian primary palladium producer. Located in Northern Ontario, Lac des Iles Mine (LDI) features a world class orebody consisting of an open pit and one of the largest underground mines in Canada. With a modern infrastructure, significant exploration portfolio, and dedicated employees Impala Canada is a well-positioned, low cost, long term, sustainable palladium producer.Reporting to the Materials Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for all warehouse inventory as well as the supervision of the Material Controllers.Supervise, coordinate activities, and mentor employees with warehouse activities.Assist Materials Manager and Buyer with negotiation of supply contracts and consignment agreements.Assist in establishing and reviewing SKU’s and target stock levels.Ensure replenishment and accuracy of warehouse inventory.Plan and organize regular inventory counts and reconciliation processes.Responsible for safety and training of employees.Coordinate incoming courier and freight requirements and outgoing transportation.Responsible for outgoing repairable materials.Provide vacation coverage for Buyers.Oversee and ensure proper investigation of accidents/incidents and provide appropriate responses to prevent reoccurrence.Develop and monitor warehouse space efficiencies.Qualifications:5 years experience in Materials Management (preferably industrial).Previous supervisory experience.Experience negotiating with suppliers a must.Valid G License.Strong organizational, communication, and report writing skills.Good interpersonal and communication skills.Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications.WHIMIS, TDG, and forklift trainingExperience within the Mining or Manufacturing industry would be an assetWhats in it for You:The position offers a competitive remuneration package consisting of base salary, health & medical insurance, retirement savings plan and travel allowance.
