The opportunities for training and advancements are real.The OpportunityCurrently, Bruce Power has opportunities available for Shift Control Technicians. These positions are permanent, full-time in nature, and offer a competitive benefits, compensation, and pension package. They are located on- site in Tiverton, Ontario. Various shift patterns are included (i.e., days/afternoons/nights).What will you be responsible for

• Shift Control Technicians, having the highest regard for safety, are responsible for maintaining systems needed to fuel and control nuclear reactors plus ancillary systems
• On a shift or day basis, they are responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, modification and repair of the instrumentation, electronic and electrical equipment used to control systems in our facilities
• Shift Control Technicians may be required to work from scaffolding, in confined spaces, and in environments containing radiological, chemical, electrical, and mechanical hazards
• This work may be performed on a twelve-hour, rotating shift schedule

Education and Experience

• Ontario or Interprovincial license in one of the following trades:
  • Instrumentation and Control Technician: Trade Code 447A
  • Industrial Electrician: Trade Code 442A
  • Construction and Maintenance Electrician: Trade Code 309A or D
• Considered an asset:
  • Work experience with Thermography and/or baker testing
  • Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) systems qualification
  • Work experience on process equipment in a Power Generation Facility
  • Experience with training development/delivery
  • Experience with computer networks

• Technical testing
• Competency based interview
• Past performance record and suitability for this position
