Successful incumbents will have opportunities to work with their mentor on a research project, attend our Lunch ‘n’ Learns and participate in the annual Ward Summer Student Research Day where they will have an opportunity to present their findings to the organization and its visitors.We are looking for an enthusiastic summer student to work on the implementation and kinematic evaluation of video games that support children of all abilities in learning, play, and health. From practicing therapy exercises at home to engaging in musical play and learning, games can encourage more equitable access to opportunities that enrich childrens lives. In this role, you will work with an interdisciplinary team of clinicians, engineers, and game developers to contribute to this growing field.Compensation DetailsThe program runs for 12 weeks from May 1, 2023 – July 21, 2023. Students will be paid $15.50 per hour based on a 37.5 hour week (full-time), less statutory deductions, including 4% in lieu of vacation and relevant statutory holiday pay. Students will be paid biweekly through payroll.Key Responsibilities
