It is preferred that this position be located in USA (Boston MA, Atlanta GA, Seattle WA, or Portland OR) or Canada (Toronto, ON). Remote work from locations in North America will be considered for a strong candidate.IBI Groups Transit & Mobility Data team focuses on helping transit agencies manage their data, provide high-quality real-time information to passengers, analyze service quality, and measure performance. The Transit Data practice also has a special emphasis on open source software like OpenTripPlanner, open data, and open data standards like GTFS/GTFS-real-time (transit), and GBFS (micromobility).The Transit & Mobility Data team has been working closely with many agencies to build and maintain multimodal trip planning applications built on OpenTripPlanner and tools for managing and editing open transit data. Some of our recent projects are with Portland TriMet, New York State DOT, San Francisco Bay Area MTC, the ATL in Atlanta, GA, amongst others.Most of the Things Youll Work On:

  • Immediately:
    • Track project progress and provide updates to internal and external project teams
    • Communicate with clients, and act as liaison between clients and the product/development teams
    • Provide additional client support such as training and documentation
  • Eventually:
    • Act primary point of contact for client agencies
    • Translate client needs into functional requirements
    • Develop project budgets and schedules
    • Contribute to proposals and other business development efforts
QualificationsYoull Need To Have:
  • At least two years of experience with transportation planning, engineering, or software projects
  • Familiarity with and/or interest in public transit and multimodal transportation
  • Interest in project management and client communications
  • Attention to detail and ability to balance priorities and multiple projects
  • Interest in developing new skills and excitement for new challenges
  • Experience with managing transportation planning, engineering or software projects
  • Familiarity with, or interest in, transit and mobility data (e.g. GTFS, GTFS-realtime, GBFS, and/or MDS formatted data, OpenStreetMap) and/or open source transit software (e.g. OpenTripPlanner and OneBusAway)
