  • Identify, analyze and evaluate business processes and methods in the context of existing and anticipated business needs and best practices
  • Gather and document business requirements, plan and undertake design, development, prototype testing, develop data visualizations, analytics products, and business intelligence/Analytics solutions.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary business analysis projects to provide analyses, evaluations and reports
  • Participate in internal and external stakeholder relationships through consultations, solutions development and partnering on key business process, practices, standards and methods
  • Lead a business intelligence team by providing guidance and direction to team members, identifying and coordinating team functions and tasks
How do I qualifyAnalytical and Problem Solving Skills
  • You can lead the assessment of business analysis results and determine key elements to drive process improvement
  • You can ensure integrity in the development and testing of business intelligence and performance measuring tools , utilizing business intelligence & data management techniques to identify valid and reliable performance metrics and standards
  • You can assess and revise/develop business analysis tools, methods and practices
  • You can ensure business processes and related techniques and tools comply with and are aligned with Ministry and OPS standards (e.g.: GO-ITS, WCAG, ITIL, ITSM, QA, risk management, tracking, audit trails, etc)
  • You can gather high level specifications of business requirements and translate these requirements to guide application development activities
  • You possess technical expertise in business intelligence tools (such as IBM Cognos, PowerBI), creating data visualizations and querying databases to validate and model data, as well as data management practices
Technical Knowledge
  • Business process modelling, capability maturity modelling and quality systems, in order to plan and undertake process re-engineering assignments
  • Knowledge of business intelligence/analytics tools (such as IBM Cognos, Power BI, etc.), database technologies and data visualization techniques
  • Planning and organizing skills to plan and execute work as well as co-ordinate with clients, stakeholders and partners and expedite progress to support client business needs
  • Demonstrated project management skills to work on project teams
  • Knowledge of IT Service Management principles
  • Ability to acquire and apply client business environment, (e.g.: legislation, agreements, plans, service/operational processes, methods, standards, tools, technologies, issues, etc) to assess and comment on the performance of business practices, and ensure compliance
Communications, Consultation and Collaboration Skills
  • You have oral and written communications to manage diverse business contacts, provide written/verbal instructions, business requirements documentation and information to clients
  • You have presentation skills to provide advice ,education and training to clients who are usually not experienced in business intelligence/analytics or process analysis
  • You can deliver knowledge-sharing and skill-building concerning business analysis, trends, standards, methods, and specific solutions
  • You can participate on committees and contribute to project status meetings
You can develop training, user acceptance and testing documentationLeadership and Project Management Skills
  • You can lead the assessment of business analysis and work within a business intelligence team to develop and deliver impactful decision making products and solutions
  • You can ensure integrity in the development and testing of decision making products, performance measuring tools and techniques, identify valid and reliable performance metrics and standards
  • Demonstrated project management experience to organize and schedule work on project teams
