Home Trust is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Home Capital Group, trading on the TSX under the symbol HCG.Position ResponsibilitiesThe development and maintenance of Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Business Continuity Strategies for each business function.Work directly with business lines to ensure RTOs and RPOs are achieved through the developed strategies, provide regular update with any changes in business processes.Development and facilitation of enterprise-wide BCP tests and exercises.Contributing to establishing and maintaining program processes and practices which effectively ensure that the enterprise program remains current and incorporates/aligns with industry standards and practices as appropriate, and adequately covers general regulatory requirements.Conduct third party Business Continuity Risk Assessment to ensure their business continuity management processes are in accordance with the Banks enterprise-wide business continuity management program and quality standards.Develop training material and tabletop exercising material and scenarios.Establishes and promotes material related to Business Continuity Awareness campaignsSupport in all IT disaster recovery activities across the organizationTogether with the BCM Director, synthesizing enterprise information to provide business leadership with an up-to-date understanding of the overall resilience risks affecting the organization.Understanding externally imposed regulations and standards and address them through BCP-related initiatives and Business Continuity compliance services.Formal EducationPost secondary degree or diploma required (University degree preferred) in Business, Economics, Finance or equivalentCertification(s)/Designation(s) preferred in related area (Certified Business Continuity Professional)Related Experience3-5 years’ experience within Business Continuity Management.2-3 years breadth of exposure to operations production and technology environment and/or various lines of business environments within the Business Continuity Management industry.An in-depth understanding of business continuity management and governance frameworks.Strong knowledge of business continuity best practices and protocols, operational risk management, and in-depth knowledge and expertise of business continuity management.Business Continuity Management practices and protocols, including in-depth knowledge of BCM standards promoted by BCI and DR and ISO including ISO 22301.A strong understanding of operational risk and resilience, business process improvement methods as well as risk related control frameworks and practices (COCO, COSO, ISO, ITIL, CMM, COBIT, etc.)Solid knowledge of IT and Operations Audit methodology.Solid understanding of the Operational Risk Management methodology.Reasonable depth of exposure/understanding of Business Continuity Management processes and best practices.Industry certification in one or more of the following: CBCI, BCCP, CBCP, ABCP, CFCP, ISO 22301.SkillsTime management, highly organizedCommunication (verbal and written) - excellentPreparing/ editing communicationsTeam playerTeam buildingInterpersonal relationship buildingProject management/ planningComposure/ working well under pressureStrong Process Documentation SkillsPosition ComplexitiesBilingualism an assetAble to work beyond standard hours as required (including some evenings, weekends)
