Job Description

About Us:At River Street Endodontics, we deliver specialty endodontic care in a calm, patient-focused setting. As a boutique practice, we prioritize precision, personalized service, and a supportive team culture. We use advanced technology to perform high-quality root canal treatments and microsurgery in a comfortable and compassionate environment.Position Overview:We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Level II Certified Dental Assistant who can also serve in a dual role as Office Manager. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in both the clinical and administrative worlds, and who values consistency, leadership, and patient care excellence. You’ll work chairside with our endodontist and lead the coordination of all office operations—including essential HR and policy management functions.Key Responsibilities:Clinical (Chairside) – approx. 60%:

  • Assist with all endodontic procedures, including surgical and non-surgical treatments
  • Operate and maintain digital radiography and CBCT equipment
  • Ensure sterilization and infection control protocols align with IPAC standards
  • Prepare and manage clinical equipment and operatory readiness
  • Provide empathetic and clear communication to patients during treatment
Administrativeamp; Office Management – approx. 40%:
  • Manage scheduling, referrals, insurance, billing, and accounts receivable
  • Maintain inventory and order clinical and administrative supplies
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients and referring offices
  • Use dental software (e.g., TDO or AbelDent) to manage records and workflow
  • Support the dentist with reporting, goal tracking, and day-to-day practice management
  • Light housekeeping of clinical area
Human Resourcesamp; Compliance:
  • Maintain and update the office policy and procedure manual
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with RCDSO, IPAC, and healthamp; safety standards
  • Assist with onboarding, training, and mentoring new staff
  • Oversee and document staff scheduling, time-off requests, and attendance
  • Keep HR-related forms and documentation current and organized
  • Promote a respectful, professional, and cohesive team culture.
Qualifications:
  • Level II Certified Dental Assistant
  • Requirements:
    • CPR, IPAC, WHMIS 2025 up-to-date by start date.
    • Live nearby or effectively commute on time.
  • 3+ years of experience in a dental office (specialty or endodontics preferred)
  • Experience in administrative or office management roles in a dental setting
  • Familiarity with dental software (Tracker, AbelDent, or equivalent)
  • Radiography and infection control certifications in good standing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time management
  • Comfortable with taking initiative and handling confidential information with discretion
