Job Description

What You’ll Be Working On:Copywriting (60%)

  • Establish brand narrative and bring Kotn’s key initiatives and mission to consumers through engaging and compelling content.
  • Work collaboratively with marketing managers and key stakeholders to ensure creative concepts, messaging, and tone are on-brand and strategically address content objectives
  • Work with Creative Director and Marketing Manager to develop impactful messaging for all cross-channel campaigns
  • Transform complex and/or abstract ideas into clear, concise and engaging copy
UX & Ecommerce Writing (25%)
  • Write, edit, and optimize product descriptions for all products that compel the customer and increase conversion
  • Develop nomenclature and write product names that are compelling to the customer and maximize selling and recognition
  • Write content for online and offline storefronts that are geared towards the customer journey and increase conversion
  • Create documentation and centralized sources for all content, as well as manage translations
Editorials (15%)
  • Concept and write product edits and editorials that position the brand and/or Kotn’s current assortment in a culturally relevant way
  • Conceptualize and pitch evergreen content ideas for owned and operated channels

  • 2+ years related copywriting experience, either at an agency or in-house, ideally in the e-commerce and retail industry
  • Degree or diploma in the communications, journalism, copywriting or copy editing fields
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and work on a deadline, with a strong attention to detail
  • Positive attitude, flexible and adaptive
