S/He will leverage practical experience in applying varied data analysis techniques & offering advice/inputs to help with solving complex business problems.What will you do

  • Support and successfully execute end-to-end Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) for our Financial Services Consultants and Retirement Consultants
  • Support and provide subject matter expertise to business partners on leads management analytics tools and processes
  • Monitor and maintain critical leads management analytics tools and support the development of new analytics tools
  • Provide insights on sales performance metrics, key drivers and present findings to Leaders to support decision making
  • Manage scope and timelines for the sales incentive plan process to ensure all commitments are met
  • Become a subject matter expert in understanding critical business needs and data requirements that feeds into modelling and quarterly sales incentive plan execution
  • Remain organized and proactive under conditions with multiple tasks and tight deadlines that may change to reflect current priorities
  • Work with minimal supervision; exercise sound judgment during planning, testing, and production of CSC metrics.
  • Perform calculations and develop forecasts to communicate responses and recommendations to specific inquiries from CSC Management team
What do you need to succeed
  • The role requires an experienced analyst (2+ years) with diverse analytical and business-focused skills
  • Intermediate to Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, VBA and SQL
  • Proven ability to work well independently, but also function in a team environment with frequent contact with people at all levels of the SLF Canada organization.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate complex results to a business audience not familiar with complicated data and analytics.
  • Able to think with agility in meeting business partners demanding deadlines.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills (collaborating, questioning, listening, writing, observing), with an ability to influence change through thoughtful recommendations
  • Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills
  • Comfortable learning new applications and processes quickly with minimal direction
  • Attention to detail and ability to quickly find alternate solutions to challenges
  • Proven balance of analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Comply fully with all privacy, confidentiality, do not contact, SLF Code of Business Conduct, data security, and other requirements related to client data.
Unique Requirements
  • Must be able to attain Canadian Reliability Security Clearance (administered by submitting fingerprints to the RCMP, who then conduct min. 5 year history checks)
What will be nice to have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science or Computer Engineering
  • Experience in Sales Incentive plan compensation and modelling
  • Experience in a blended call centre sales environment
  • Experience with a structured management operating system
  • Siebel CRM service and/or sales experience; and other call centre knowledge
  • Financial services / product experience and knowledge
  • Understanding of Group Benefits; Individual Insurance and Investments; Group Retirement Services businesses

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.
