Job Description

Major Responsibilities:
  • Perform analysis of enterprise software, hardware and transmission facility using diagnostic tools to ensure the optimum operation and maintenance of technology solutions.
  • Ensure pro-active action is taken for the operation, installation and support of the enterprise systems and solutions.
  • Provide assistance and technical support in the planning, assessment, design, construction and implementation of upgrades to the existing systems and enhancements/additions of future enterprise technologies.
  • Conduct research and evaluations of enterprise hardware/software solutions and makes recommendations.
  • Maintain security on all enterprise server hardware, software and network, including set up, revision and cancellation of securities.
  • Ensure the stability and integrity of enterprise Directory and Messaging environments providing critical support for production environments.
  • Monitor enterprise systems, products and network usage, performance and capacity. Perform trend analysis for system improvements.
  • Perform enterprise-wide user accounts administration including addition, deletion and change of user accounts according to approved policy, standards and procedures.
  • Respond to user inquiries, investigates and analyzes problems and develops solutions and/or action plans.
  • Conduct, update and improve reviews of documentation, manuals, standards and procedures.
Key Qualifications:Your application must describe your qualifications as they relate to:
  • Post-secondary education in Data Communication or Computer Sciences, or the equivalent combination of education and/or related experience.
  • Considerable experience in Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory at the enterprise and cloud level.
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange related PowerShell and diagnostic tools.
  • Experience in the overall capabilities of computer operating systems including Novell Netware, Windows or SUSE Linux.
  • Experience in enterprise systems management, Storage Area Networks, enterprise backup, systems monitoring and event management.
  • Experience in current and emerging computing, communication and Internet related technologies, including but not limited to hardware, software and appliance solutions, high availability and load balancing technologies, multi-tasking and multi-threaded configurations, local and wide area networks in both wire and wireless environments.
  • Experience in a project methodology and various levels of system/application testing.
You must also have:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff and external contracts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate detailed technical information clearly and effectively to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to troubleshoot incidents reported, assist with their resolution and clearly communicate the means to resolve incidents and/or enhance applications or systems
  • Highly developed analytical skills to research problems, evaluate and identify business requirements and make recommendations to senior management
  • Ability to lead the technical change process from planning and implementation perspectives
  • Commitment to customer service, performance quality, and continuous improvement
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment and under time constraints, and to meet deadlines.
