Job Description

(we prefer pdf format, no phone calls or recruiters please).IT Systems AdministratorPBNJ Consulting Inc. was founded in 2001 and currently supports the IT systems of various organizations in the GTA and across Canada. We work in a dynamic and fast pace environment and encourage a fun and open atmosphere, suited for driven and self-motivated individuals. We are currently in need of an tech that would report to our head office, but would be deployed at our clients’ offices and be on the move to various locations. Much of the work will be server related but the position still requires interacting with users, this is not a server room only position.Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, manage and deploy Windows servers
  • Maintain, manage and deploy ESXi and VMware Servers
  • Install, configure and maintain server/client software applications
  • Maintain Backup Systems and Disaster Recovery
  • Maintain and configure Office 365 based Applications and Services, including Email, SharePoint, Azure AD and others
  • Maintain, configure and deploy Network devices – including switches, routers, firewalls (CISCO, SonicWALL)
  • Monitor Security Services, such as AntiSPAM, AntiVirus, and others
  • Maintain inventory and relevant documentation
  • Maintain, configure and deploy Windows PCs and MAC workstations
  • Answer user emails and phone requests for technical assistance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve user technical issues (remote and onsite)
  • Install, configure and maintain mobile devices – Android, iPhone, BlackBerry
  • Assist with deployments and migrations of hardware and software
  • Work with vendors to acquire quotes and procure hardware/software for clients
Skills:
  • Windows Server 2012R2, 2016, 2019
  • ESXi, VMware, VMWare Horizon, Hyper-V
  • Office 365 – Email, SharePoint, Azure AD
  • Scripting, Automating (PowerShell)
  • Windows 10 and some MacOS
  • Microsoft Office Suites
  • Hardware fundamentals
  • Installing and configuring printers, and other peripherals
  • Administering Active Directory and Group Policies
  • AntiVirus, AntiSPAM and AntiMalware Applications
  • Cloud-based storage solutions
  • Backup Systems (local and offsite)
  • Firewalls, VPNS and Networking, VLANs
  • Web Hosting (monitor, maintain and backup)
  • Mobile Devices iOS/Android
Qualifications:
  • College/CEGEP/Vocational or Technical training
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a related field
  • Microsoft certification is a plus
Other requirements:
  • Some after-hour work will be required, though this is often scheduled in advance
  • Having a car is highly preferential, must be mobile throughout the GTA
Expected start date: 2021-06-01Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per yearBenefits:
