Job Description

RBC Customer Relationship Management & Analytics (CRMA) team is recruiting for a Manager Analytics role. In this role you will be responsible for leveraging data and analytics to identify insights that will drive strategies for business optimization, financial performance management, products and customer profitability.What will you do

  • Perform all manner of data mining activities as assigned towards client-centric applications (activities include, but are not limited to: data analysis, aggregation, and management)..
  • Consult with business partners to understand business goals and the intended client journey
  • Participate in strategy meetings to gather and document business requirements and learn how to formulate analytical framework.

  • Bring in-depth data analyses to bear on the development of revolutionary client universe sub-segmentation and value proposition.
  • Fulfill iterative requests for defining client universe, specifying success measures, testing hypotheses, and communicating value-added observations towards strategy refinement and successful implementation of win-win solutions.
  • Maintain or enhance best-in-class standard reports to showcase insights and support tactics.
  • Learn and apply new businesses, techniques, and ideas within a reasonable period of time.
  • Ensure compliance and privacy guidelines are strictly adhered to.
What do you need to succeedMust-have:
  • Proficient technical knowledge with very large relational databases and 3 years of SAS experience
  • 5+ years’ experience of using one or more of these data analytics & BI/Visual Analytical Tools (e.g. native SQL, SAS, Teradata, Tableau, SAS Visual Analytics, Oracle BI).
  • Sound business acumen and strong analytical, communication and presentation skills
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to conceptualize strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to work well collaboratively in a cross function environment
Nice-to-have:
  • Minimum successfully-completed undergraduate degree in Statistics, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a discipline that develops capability in data and analysis
  • Experience in financial services industry with broad understanding of marketing, product management, sales, finance, pricing, payment and risk management
