The position plays a key role in driving strategic, timely, and accurate insights to business partners and senior leaders.What will you do

  • Drive the reduction of internal manual reports and processes either through automation or consolidation of existing reporting processes.
  • Provide adhoc requests and solutions as well as time sensitive break/fix requests to the satisfaction of our partners.
  • Create and maintain accurate documentation related to adhoc and break/fix solutions for future reference
  • Communicate and consult with partners across Canadian Banking Operations in order to provide support, insight, gather feedback, and communicate project statuses
  • Participate in conversations with internal partners to understand our business processes and objectives in order to define/recommend automating existing manual reporting solutions to meet those objectives
  • Be a thought partner within the Reporting COE team, supporting the development of insights, implementing best practices, and providing mentorship to team members
What do you need to succeedMust-have
  • Nimble with SQL for querying and joining large datasets and/or creating reports (e.g. MSSQL, Teradata, HDFS)
  • Demonstrated capabilities with Python or other automation technologies (e.g. Datameer)
  • Ability to perform complex data analysis on large volumes of data and present findings to senior leadership in order to inform strategic decisions
  • Proven innovative mindset with quantitative analytical and problem solving skills
  • Expert technical documentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and working independently
  • A team player who is passionate about developing peers, winning as a team, and providing constructive feedback when needed
Nice-to-have
  • University degree in a quantitative field of study (e.g., engineering, mathematics, statistics, etc.)
  • Proficiency in developing reports using Tableau
  • Experience with technologies such as GitHub, Jira, general APIs
  • Project management capabilities
