It is an especially exciting time to join Canadian Tire and its group of companies.The Manager, Data Mart and Integration will be reporting to the Associate Vice President, Data Mart and Business Intelligence and is responsible for defining and communicating data management strategies across Canadian Tire’s banners and their data teams onto an enterprise data model.They will work closely and collaboratively with the team’s business stakeholders in providing an enterprise curated model consumable by all stakeholders on cloud. They will provide direction on data modeling standards between data solutions managers , designers, and data consumers from the enterprise model and supporting semantic models.What you’ll do

  • Manage a multiple development team (Contractors, Consultants & direct reports); Ensure plans are in place to deliver on time, budget and with the required functionality for our users
  • Be an Enterprise Data Model Gatekeeper by ensuring that the solution we develop respects the key data modeling principles and are driven through an enterprise lens across all banners
  • Review data management solutions by reviewing the availability of data and determine the table structures necessary for the delivery of each data domain
  • Manage the relationship with all project stakeholders including business leaders, IT project teams, designers, developers and other team members; be the liaison with IT for all data initiatives and act as the Product Owners of the enterprise model
  • Lead special initiatives specific to EDT relaunch and DNA specific programs
What you bring
  • 8-10 years of multi-disciplined IT experience, ideally within multi-unit, retail store and online environments with emphasis on customer service requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years related work experience within Azure fundamentals supporting a cloud-first strategy
  • 5-7 years of database management, ETL, data modeling and data management experience.
  • 5 years of experience in building Data Lake with a focus on MS Azure, ADF, Synapse, Snowflake
  • Exposure to traditional BI Tools (PowerBi, tableau, Cognos, Qlik, SSRS, etc.)
  • Exposure to AI & ML Tools (Azure AI & M, or ML flow)
  • Must have Azure Synapse (dedicated pool, server less pool, spark integration), Azure Synapse analytics, Azure Data factory, Gen 2 storage, SQL server, My SQL, PostgreSQL Skills.
  • ETL tools – SSIS, ADF.Tibco, DataBricks
  • Reporting tools – Tableau, Power BI
  • Experience in BI and Data Lake projects.
