Learn more about our next chapter.The OpportunityThe Manager, Student Engagement and Development functions as a resource to actively engage students in co-curricular involvement within The Creative School. This role works with the Office of the Dean and the Society of The Creative School to enhance the branding of the Faculty and improve the quality of student life. This role secures funding, generates relevant services for students, provides event support, and provides short and long term strategies for continued growth within the co-curricular environment. Additionally, the Manager manages the day-to-day operations of the Society of The Creative School and provides guidance to ensure they remain on track with their long-term goals and commitments. Lastly, this role works with the Office of the President, Office of the Provost and the Dean’s Office on specials projects, events, and other ad hoc projects.QualificationsTo help us learn more about you, please provide a cover letter and resume describing how you meet the following required qualifications:

  • Completion of a post-secondary degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience in the field of student life, working with student government, student groups or related organizations is required, professional development, relationship building/management, event planning, presenting and supervising others. This includes at least 1 year of relevant experience working with senior University Administration, policy development, stakeholder relations and organizational structure.
  • At least one (1) year of experience working within the creative industries is preferred.
  • Experience with Roberts Rules of Order.
  • Excellent spoken written and communication skills;
  • Knowledge of document design and social media;
  • Superior interpersonal skills to be able to manage key relationships and
  • Demonstrated ability to network with company executives and non-profit Board of Directors to make and maintain connections for The Creative School students both within the University community and the broader community and creative industries world, teamwork skills, and leadership qualities and the ability to learn new tasks quickly;
  • Ability to work well under pressure in various situations, in addition to being able to bring optimism and devotion to the work environment, and have mentorship abilities, including building and reinforcing the skills of student leaders within The Creative School
  • Financial management skills, be able to plan and implement services, programs, policies and procedures and be able to manage multiple priorities, as well as complex problems and issues
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Work, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Creative Suite, Quick Books, Google Office Suite (Drive, Sheet, Calendar, Doc, Slides)
