The manufacturing execution system technical team lead will lead a technical practice of delivery methodologies and direct team management to deploy/improve MES systems for our clients. You will manage our technical practice for system architectures and application technical development of new/modified client systems in our clients MES/MOM platforms - PharmaSuite® and other industry 4.0 relevant software components.You will report to the Regional Delivery Manager and is located remotely.What you will do

  • Be the primary contact for technical topics and requirements with the customer for assigned implementation projects – "Face to customer"
  • Apply broad systems engineering knowledge related to programming languages for implementing FactoryTalk PharmaSuite applications and corresponding application development environments
  • Document technical lessons learned, shares knowledge across project teams, and extracts reusable engineering objects
  • Manage the practice framework regarding preferred tools, methodologies, team skillsets, competency enablement, and inter-team collaboration requirements
  • Directly manage team members performance goals, billable use, skillset development plans, and collaborative project assigning
  • Support Project Manager to assign technical work tasks to other team members, completing technical deliverables, ensuring overall quality of the technical system, accomplishing project goals (e.g., Timelines, customer satisfaction, achieve margin expectation)
Skills you have
  • Abstract thinking and for developing technically sustainable, supportable and reusable solution designs & recipes
  • Hands on experience with MES technical aspects for greenfield, expansion, and upgraded MES systems
  • Industry manufacturing process and application knowledge in Life Science is required
  • Excellent English language (verbal and written)
  • Expertise with definition of user requirements, functional requirements, technical specifications, software testing, and installation
  • Ability with Java programming and development environments including Familiarity with common design patterns
  • Knowledge of J2EE Application Servers (I.e., JBoss) to perform installation, configuration and maintenance tasks
  • Define target architecture and understand and apply client goals in the architecture
Basic qualifications
  • Bachelors degree
  • Able to travel and work at client sites. Travel can vary on assignment from 0% to 100% but can average 30%.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
Preferred qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • 3+ years functional/technical consulting experience with client responsibilities
  • Direct managerial experience of 2 years preferred or equivalent mentoring in an active project delivery environment
  • Advanced experience with FactoryTalk PharmaSuite and related industry 4.0 software
