Synex Medical is developing the next generation of non-invasive health sensors to allow for continuous monitoring at the molecular level. Our technology is based on novel techniques in magnetic resonance that allow us to accurately measure critical blood metabolites completely non-invasively and in highly miniaturized form factors. We want people to have access to their own metabolism and to make predictive healthcare the norm.We are a highly motivated team working with the foremost experts in our field. Were on track to deliver our MVP by the end of 2021, which will measure glucose and lactate non-invasively. We are gearing up for some amazing milestones (series A, clinical validation, MVP delivery) and need top talent to join our team.As an NMR Scientist, you will:Work closely with the experienced NMR team and leading academic collaborators to develop advanced pulse sequences for in vivo NMR spectroscopy.Implement existing pulse sequences on Synex’s custom manufactured spectrometer.Simulate pulse sequences using standard simulation software packages such as Spinach.Work with a team of some of the world’s leading electrical engineers, embedded firmware and FPGA designers, and machine learning & signal processing engineers to produce creative solutions for complex scientific challenges.Stay up to date on state-of-the-art NMR techniques and come up with innovative ways of applying them to our technologyWe are looking for someone with:Thorough understanding of magnetic resonance theory and NMR/MRI experimental techniques, particularly in vivo MRS techniques.A Ph.D. with an emphasis on NMR pulse sequence development. Master’s degree holders with relevant experience will be considered as well.Experience in designing, simulating, and optimizing pulse sequences.Familiarity with common NMR/MRS processing software and pulse sequence programming (e.g. Topspin, Mnova, jMRUI).
