Job Description

WORK ILLUSTRATION:Reporting to the Senior Manager, Performance Systems and Productivity, the Organizational Effectiveness (OE) Consultant is responsible for providing consulting services to business units, corporate programs, and projects. Services include design, advice, guidance, facilitation, and coaching in the areas of change management, training, engagement, project management, process improvement, individual performance, team performance and leadership development. The OE Consultant’s primary focus is on supporting the organization’s process improvements and attaining expected change results.The incumbent is expected to behave ethically and follow the established code of business conduct, policies and internal control procedures, laws and regulations governing Toronto Hydro.Toronto Hydro has implemented a mandatory vaccination requirement for all its employees. Toronto Hydro will provide reasonable accommodation to individuals who cannot be vaccinated due to disability or any other ground protected by the Ontario Human Rights Code.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts needs analysis for new organizational initiatives.
  • Provides advice in the areas of change management, organizational performance management, control and reporting systems, and process improvements.
  • Facilitates and monitors the design, implementation, and on-going assessment of various change programs/ initiatives.
  • Facilitates and leads the development of cultural change interventions.
  • Develops and implements an onboarding and engagement strategy for all Organization Effectiveness programs and conducts knowledge transfers to clients.
  • Designs and implements large-scale engagement processes and events.
  • Assesses program effectiveness and recommends program modifications/ enhancements.
  • Verifies alignment of performance management evaluation systems with corporate goals.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s/Undergraduate degree in Business, Human Resources, or related discipline.
  • Five (5) or more years of progressive experience in organizational effectiveness, change management, or performance management.
  • Certified Human Resources Professional/ Leader (CHRP/ CHRL) is considered an asset.
  • Master’s Degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, or Business Administration preferred.
  • Knowledge of practicum in consulting process - Peter Block’s Internal consulting process.
  • Knowledge of practicum in change management - John Kotter’s change management process.
  • Models customer focused approach in all decisions and actions with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrates ability to drive results and take accountability in a high-volume/ fast-paced environment;
  • Leads by example and uses coaching and feedback to improve their own performance and decision-making.
  • Builds strong relationships with internal client groups and the Organizational Effectiveness team in order to enhance their ability to influence and consult on business processes and functions.
  • Proactively looks for opportunities to improve processes within Organization Effectiveness and other departments.
  • Excellent change management skills to add value to the business and support significant cultural changes.
Toronto Hydro has introduced a Hybrid Work Arrangement. This position allows for remote work up to three days per week, based on business needs. Employees will be required to come onsite on those days when they are involved in activities that they or their leader feel are better conducted in person.
