Job Description

Do you have strong analytical, research, policy and communication skills If so, bring your quantitative and qualitative research and analysis expertise to this role to provide advice on fiscal, financial and economic data, and policies related to Provincial revenue.Note: Pre-existing knowledge of property tax policy is not necessary to be successful in this competition.   • provide expertise to support development of quantitative and qualitative analysis methods and protocols to inform the development of strategies related to education property tax analysis;
  • acquire data and develop data models for analyses;
  • develop briefing materials for senior management;
  • develop and maintain networks with other related areas in the ministry, partner ministries and external stakeholders.
How do I qualifyPolicy Development Knowledge and Related Skills:
  • You have analytical and problem solving skills to analyze quantitative data to produce findings and recommendations and outline policy alternatives.
  • You understand policy and program development principles/techniques and government decision-making processes and the links between policy issues and the public context in which decisions are made.
  • You have ability to interpret and apply knowledge of legislation and regulations related to property tax to provide advice.
  • You have experience leading and conducting research and analysis projects.
  • You have the ability to identify and manage issues.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
  • You have oral and written communication skills to prepare and present briefings, correspondence and reports.
  • You demonstrate negotiation skills to effectively work with colleagues and stakeholders.
Technical Knowledge:
  • You have knowledge quantitative and qualitative research and analysis techniques and methods.
  • You have an understanding of municipal finance and property taxation.
