JOB POSTING FOR CUPE3902 UNIT#3 SESSIONAL LECTURERDepartment of Applied Psychology & Human DevelopmentSessional Lecturer - APD1278H S 1130 - Cognitive TherapyPosted on: October 17, 2022Closing Date: November 8, 2022Duties:1 - Teach a minimum of 36 hours;2 - Prepare teaching resources for each class and provide relevant materials;3 - Assess and evaluate students work and provide a final course grade according to OISE/UT grading practices;4 - Be available for informal meetings/communications with students as necessary.Minimum Requirements:1 - Candidate must have a doctoral degree in counselling or clinical psychology;2 - Must be registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario;3 - Experience and demonstrated excellence in teaching graduate courses, with expertise in content area and current counselling and/or clinical competence.Preferred Candidates will have:1 - Individuals with demonstrated and prior graduate teaching expertise with related course content;2 - Demonstrated scholarship in the area of the course topic;3 - An expert knowledge of cognitive-behaviour therapy & other counseling interventionsCourse Description: This course covers current theory and principles of cognitive therapy in the treatment of anxiety and depression. Special applications such as grief counselling, bereavement and post-traumatic stress disorders.
