Job Description

This position is accountable for bringing a differentiated value proposition to customers in Water and Wastewater Segment in Canada, leveraging the entire Schneider Electric scope, and reporting to National Sales Division. With focus on large end users and engineering consultants, the role accelerates the Digital Transformation and Smart Water Solutions adoption. Priority is given to addressing customer needs and challenges, capitalizing on deep domain expertise, leading to a sustainable business in this segment.Core Responsibilities:Provide expertise on Segment specific Customer Process and Schneider Electrics Solution Offer:

  • Understand the customers segment specific business challenge, their process, needs, requirements and constraints to propose the best solution to the customer.
  • Support both customers and internal sales teams as a trusted advisor, technical consultant, and process expert to implement Schneider Electric solutions across different applications in the domain segment.
  • With support from global & local segment stakeholders, define adequate solution roadmap to meet customer requirements and bring a differentiated value proposition in the water and wastewater segment.
What will you do
  • Accelerate growth of digital solutions, with special focus on Industrial Automation applications, such as SCADA and Control Systems, Operational Dashboards, and Smart Water Apps (e.g., leak management, energy optimization, and digital twins)
  • Synergize the digital solutions portfolio between Process and Power as well as Energy Management Software suite.
  • Understand the challenges and context of each customer across the different organizational levels (enterprise to field operations) and through a project’s timeline (from design/build to operate/maintain).
  • Plan & coordinate customer proof of concept (POC) and pilot projects, demonstrating expected return on investment and benefits of the solution.
  • Present technical solutions to top customer executives and senior managers to advance digital transformation and Smart Water software sales.
  • Support the tender and proposal process, including value-added options to enhance the overall uniqueness of the solution.
  • Participate in Water & Wastewater management segment events through panel discussions and authoring of whitepapers, promoting case studies and latest technology with the various industry groups.
  • Identify new offerings, including third party solutions, to be developed to increase business potential. A specific focus on digital solutions & software will be required to tailor them for this segment.
  • Be an advocate of the Segment internally and share best practices, tested solutions or architecture within the Process or Power domains
  • Maintain sound knowledge of competitor activity and communicate to other stakeholders.
  • Work closely with all functions to meet specific financial objectives for the Water and Wastewater segment. Key contacts will include:
    • Customers
    • Industrial Automation, Digital Energy, Field Services, National, and Contractor Sales
    • Water and wastewater segment leader
What qualifications will make you successful
  • Min. 10 years of combined sales and technical experience in the water and wastewater industry or similar industries
  • Knowledge of electrical/automation applications
  • Must be able to handle ambiguity and sell innovative solutions
  • Possess strong business acumen, and demonstrated ability to create and execute strategic plans
  • Can effectively influence, collaborate, and lead others
  • Able to travel up to 30% of time across Canada
  • For Quebec-based candidates functional French is required
