Job Description

Ledcor Employee Apply internally in Workday.DescriptionJob Summary:As the Subcontractor Manager, Default, you will support the delivery of services that meets Ledcor’s unit’s strategic risk management and mitigation goals. You will be responsible for the processing, evaluation and rating of all subcontractor prequalification information including maintaining and ensuring the security of the files of all submitted documentation meet the requirements of Ledcor’s risk management strategy.Come join Ledcors Risk Management team!Responsibilities:

  • Processes and maintains all project enrollment information and documentation including reporting to the Surety Broker and Insurance Underwriter as required
  • Develops, implements, and communicates policies and procedures of the CDI program to various stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Responsible for the processing, evaluation and rating of all subcontractor prequalification information including maintaining and ensuring the security of the files of all submitted documentation meet the requirements of Ledcor’s risk management strategy
  • Manages the business units Contractor Default Insurance program (CDI) including associated procedures and delivery tools to achieve strategic goals
  • Maintains the comprehensive CDI database including the development, testing and implementation of enhancements to the system as required
  • Processes and maintains all project enrollment information and documentation including reporting to the Surety Broker and Insurance Underwriter as required
  • Delivers formal and ad-hoc risk-related educational support to the business
  • Oversees the financial aspects of the program
Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in Risk, Business, Commerce or Finance is preferred
  • 5 -10 years surety underwriting
  • Commercial construction industry and/or surety construction experience is preferred
  • Associate of Canadian Surety Bonding (ACSB) or Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) or Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) or Certified Risk Management (CRM) designations are preferred
  • Knowledge of technology platforms such as BI tools and MS Excel
  • Working knowledge of accounting practices, ability to read/understand financial statements and supporting documentation analysis
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects simultaneously with competing deadlines
  • Previous experience with development design, testing, implementation, and training of database systems
  • Ability to work at times both collaboratively as a key member of a team and independently as required
  • Proven analytical skills
