This dynamic team supports field services across Canada using metrics, reporting, analysis and dashboards. Our team serves Field Services, while also collaborating closely with all business units to capture the end-to-end technical customer experience. This important data and insight drives improvement to processes, the best customer experiences, simplified employee experiences, and the launch of innovative services. This team supports our field frontline and support teams with impactful insights that help us continue to transform the customer experience.Job Duties/ Accountabilities:Operating system and database administration mandate:

  • Health monitoring for application availability and stability:
  • Monitoring applications and their dependencies and make sure the system is working properly. Troubleshoot with application owners any applications availability and stability issues.
  • Application deployment and migration:
  • Server operating system and permissions configuration, deploy application files, install application components, configure Web and database services in respect of security practice and availability hours.
  • System and application component vulnerabilities patching:
  • Review vulnerability scan report and apply required patches or configuration changes on test environment first and then production.
Preventive and Maintenance:
  • Make sure critical information is backup regularly, system usage rules are respected, storage is at normal level and any test or temporary files are purged. Build and test disaster recovery plan.
  • System access governance:
  • Establish systems governance by environment and by user categories, in accordance with Bell security practices.
Life cycle:
  • Plan systems lifecycle taking into account the vendor support agreement and review with infrastructure architects team the provisioning of new systems.
System documentation:
  • Make sure each system has a build book and a review done regularly for any changes.
Required qualifications:
  • Experience with Windows Server 2008 or higher
  • Experience with Linux server Redhat 7 and 8
  • Experience with security patch installation
  • Experience with SQL Server 2008 or higher
  • Experience with IIS configuration
  • Knowledge of Dockers, Openshift, DevOps pipelines and Bash command
  • Basic Knowledge of TCP/IP, Firewalls, SSH, Certificates, DNS and DHCP
Other beneficial skills:
  • Experience with python
  • Experience in a DevOps environment that includes Jenkins and GIT
  • Knowledge of Terraform
  • Knowledge of JupyterHub
  • Knowledge of IBM applications
