Please refer to our website for more information.Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking a JR IT Administrator to join our Toronto team. Working as a team, based in our Toronto Campus office, the primary role will be supporting 1000+ users across multiple offices in their daily tasks to ensure that a reliable and robust IT platform is available to all. A high customer service focus is critical in the role and a strong technical skill set is a must.The successful candidate will be expected to work as part of the support team and equally comfortable working independently to achieve wider goals when required. The ability to work to defined corporate standards whilst offering suggestions for continued improvement is also an important part of the role.Most of the things youll work on:

  • Provide phone/email/on-site support to local, remote, and working from home staff
  • Work as a member of a centralized IT support team
  • Utilize the IT ticketing system to communicate with end-users to provide prompt responses and timely resolutions
  • Responsible for users’ hardware upgrade and maintenance, repairs, and installations
  • Provide basic support for various office productivity software used by the company
  • Perform upgrades, repairs, and preventive maintenance on servers, desktops, printers, and other equipment when required
  • Perform installations of end-user operating systems and refresh installations when required • Maintain phone and voicemail system
  • Assist internal users experiencing operational, hardware, or network connectivity problems with their computer systems
  • Update knowledge and skills to keep up with rapid advancements in computer technology
  • Implement Global IT standards and procedures, correct variations when needed
  • Provide feedback to IT team on issues and practical advice
  • Provide configuration and training for new systems and procedures when directed
QualificationsYoull need to have:
  • A relevant college diploma or university degree and/or practical work experience gained in a professional IT environment is required
  • Must have 1-3 years of professional IT experience
  • CompTIA A+ is an advantage
  • MCP, MCSE certifications are desired but not mandatory
  • Network+ is an advantage
  • Working knowledge of Windows desktop/server operating systems (WIN 10 / 11 Pro)
  • In-depth understanding of MS Office 365
  • Working experience of network technologies and concepts, including LAN/WAN infrastructure and TCP / IP routing
  • Some experience in Cisco switches and firewalls is an asset
  • Troubleshooting software (Microsoft applications) & hardware (Dell, Lenovo, HP machines)
  • Excellent communication skills in order to effectively build relationships and communicate issues and resolutions to all levels of the organization
  • Willingness to multi-task and be flexible to take on varied responsibilities
  • Good customer service experience and ability to demonstrate patience, tact, and respect
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Analytical work ethic and attention to detail are key
  • Able to work both autonomously and as part of a team when the task requires
  • Strong customer focused approach to support
