Bring your expertise with SAP or Tableau technical administration, application life cycle support, and change management best practices, to this permanent, full-time position with the City of Toronto as a Systems Integrator 1 (Intermediate SAP/Tableau Technical Administrator).You will be a member of the SAP Technical Solution Services (STSS) unit, supporting SAP or Tableau platforms.STSS is responsible for a landscape consisting of Tableau, SAP ERP Central Component (ECC), S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, SAP SuccessFactors, Business Warehouse (BW), Business Intelligence (BOBI), SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP Mobile Platform (SMP), SAP Public Budget Formulation (PBF), Fiori, Enterprise Portal (EP), and Solution Manager products, used by 30,000+ staff to support the business processes for most City divisions.Our on-premise platforms reside on IBM Power, Linux, and MS Windows virtualized platforms supporting Sandbox, Development, QA, Training, Pre-production, and Production environments.As an SAP or Tableau Technical Admin, you will provide technical leadership, support, and guidance to sustainment teams responsible for daily operations and to project teams requiring platform consulting, implementation and sustainment services. You will also contribute to, and establish, standards, procedures and guidelines (best practices) related to system administration, system operation and change management within the corporate framework.Major Responsibilities:Your role as an SAP or Tableau Technical/BASIS Administrator will be varied. Specifically, you will:
  • Establish and maintain business relationships with clients to discuss/assess clients SAP or Tableau platform needs.
  • Conduct or lead team in delivery of SAP or Tableau projects or work packages.
  • Liaise with technical leads and other internal & external groups in the development and accomplishment of deliverables.
  • Collaborate with clients on "Go / No Go" cut-over decisions e.g. roll-outs, product/platform upgrades.
  • Prepare findings & "Lessons Learned" from post-implementation project reviews.
  • Redesign business principles, processes, policies and standards by recommending best practices and improvements to current processes.
  • Prepare Design documents for proposed solutions that leverage SAP or Tableau technology as part of the solution.
  • Recommend improvements to current SAP or Tableau methodology, process, standards, and policies.
  • Assist staff in understanding of SAP or Tableau platform processes.
  • Lead team to draft SAP or Tableau implementation & rollout strategies and plans.
  • Conduct walk-throughs of SAP or Tableau deliverables to identify potential problems.
  • Prepare SAP or Tableau training material and documentation for use by clients and staff.
  • Identify technical platform risks and prepare action plans to mitigate.
Key Qualifications:Your application for the role of Systems Integrator 1 (Intermediate SAP/Tableau Technical Administrator) should describe your qualifications as they relate to:
  • Experience as an SAP or Tableau Technical Administrator.
  • Experience in, and knowledge of, the installation, configuration, maintenance and monitoring of the Tableau Server platform or SAP platforms, including: SAP ERP Central Component (ECC) 6.0 EHP8 on HANA, S/4HANA, Business Warehouse (BW) 7.5 on HANA, Business Intelligence (BOBI) 4.3.x, including Lumira Designer/Discovery, SAP Mobile Platform (SMP) 3.x, Fiori, HANA Enterprise platform, NetWeaver Development Infrastructure (NWDI), Enterprise Portal (EP), Solution Manager including Technical Monitoring, SAP Cloud Connector, SAP Data Services/Information Steward, SAP Enable Now (SEN), SAP Landscape Management (LaMa), SAP Single Sign On 3.0 (SSO), SAP HANA Cockpit, SAP Ariba, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and SAP Identity Provisioning and Authentication (IPS/IAS), and SAP Diagnostics by CA Wily 10+.
  • Experience in capacity planning, system monitoring, performance tuning, problem determination, and change management for SAP or Tableau platforms.
You must also have:
  • Strong customer service orientation along with a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member, collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment and independently, as required.
  • Advanced time management and estimation capabilities and ability to perform several tasks and projects concurrently
  • Knowledge of current and emerging technologies and skills to evaluate and recommend new technology for introduction into a complex technical environment.
  • Ability to analyze operational technical issues to recommend immediate resolutions and the most effective approach to their implementation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an aptitude to work independently and collaboratively with others in a multidisciplinary team setting.
