Job Description

Hanson College, established in 2001, is a private educational institution that delivers college diploma programs and language training programs to international students. Our three campuses located in Toronto, Brampton, and New Westminster, BC. Come and join Hanson to change life trajectories through education for generational impact in the global community.We are searching to hire a Recruitment Specialist for our Toronto and Brampton Campuses.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with hiring managers to develop a deep understanding of the business and its current and future talent needs and identify optimal sourcing strategies.
  • Manage the full end to end hiring process: screen and shortlist applicants by conducting video and/or telephone pre-screen interviews. Book candidate interviews and prepare interview guides. Initiate education, reference, and other pre-employment checks. Draft employment agreements and make verbal offers, in partnership with Hiring Managers.
  • Support the pre-boarding/on-boarding process, leveraging best practices to improve upon the candidate /employee experience.
  • Maintain, analyze, and leverage recruitment and talent metrics and reports to inform sourcing strategies and drive recruitment activities.
  • Stay informed of current and trends and innovative recruitment techniques to help further advance our competitive position in the marketplace.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to ensure that they are in par with industry best practices.
Education and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of exposure in progressive recruitment roles with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and HRIS.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills in English.
  • Team player with a client-centric mindset and positive attitude.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of employment legislation and regulations (ESA, OHSA, Ontario Human Rights Code, AODA, etc.)
