On this team, you’ll have the unique opportunity to imagine the future as well as create it, where you can craft ideas and implement them for our clients.Your Key ResponsibilitiesAs a part of the CM practice, you will advise clients and assist in solving Business and Technology problems in Capital Markets industry. You will provide clients with functional analysis, design, implementation, and technical program management support services.You will support or lead the delivery of customer engagements, build customer relationships and lead team development. This will include generating new business opportunities by developing ideas and solutions to present to internal and external clients.This will include assisting with performing analysis of business requirements, translating requirements into functional specifications, design of technical solutions and requirements for implementation by development teams. Assisting with feature design, business process decomposition, supporting technical system integration, configuration of systems, modernization, optimization, decommissioning and analysis of underlying front to back data requirementsYou will also be able to support client technology organizations with front to back SDLC, provide hands-on support across one or multiple phases of the process and have experience with Technical Project Management and Agile ways of working.Individually and as a member of EY team, you will converse with the with Capital Markets buy side and sell side technology, operations and business clients on traded products and the end-to-end trade lifecycle levels of AVP to Senior VP/Director. You will have the ability to understand business problems and advise on proposed technology solutions. Summarize and document technical discussions, translate technical decisions into business English language and communicate with client’s business stakeholders. Liaise between business and technology teams.You will have the ability to effectively integrate with and leverage offshore development teams to scale and accelerate software delivery to meeting deadlines and close workSkills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role, you must have
  • Capital Markets Business domain expertise. Intimate knowledge of the trading environment (front, middle, and back office), trading instruments (including Derivatives and Exotics across multiple asset classes), pricing, risk, and knowledge of the risk and regulatory issues within the Capital Markets businesses lines.
  • Capital Markets Technology experience. Practical knowledge of the Capital Markets and investment division business and technical architecture and workflows. Experience with implementation of trading and risk platforms; especially with experience in Murex or Calypso.
  • Hands-on experience with delivering technology solutions in Capital Markets industry across any of the following process areas:
    • Transaction processing from pre-trade to settlement, transaction pricing, market risk, position / portfolio management, collateral management, client onboarding as well as risk and regulatory concepts
    • Understanding of technology environments across Capital Markets; typical integration of key systems and platforms (trade capture, pricing, reference data, market data, etc.)
    • Understanding of basic principles of financial data modeling; data shape, size, velocity of change
    • Strong knowledge of transaction lifecycle across CM (FO-MO-BO)
    • Strong knowledge of financial instruments and asset classes (e.g., fixed income, multi asset derivatives, equities, FX, commodities)
    • Overall understanding of the front to back capital markets data value chain
    • Excellent analytical skills with ability to systematically resolve technical problems
    • Attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, good communication across all levels of seniority in an organization
Ideally, you’ll also haveTechnical Skills (Technologies)
  • Experience with technology implementation or support for core CM systems/ applications such as Murex and Calypso
  • Deep understanding of the Murex and Calypso product suite, including its application across sell and buy side firms
  • Advanced level of application implementation in modern programming languages C++, Java, Scala, Python, Node, or similar programming languages common in financial industry
  • Strong understanding of computer science concepts including data structures, algorithm design, complexity, time, state
  • Comfortable with object-oriented programming
  • Experience working with RDF, JSON, XML and other standard data frameworks and standards
  • Strong services-based implementation skills for building scalable, enterprise-grade solutions. SOAP, REST.
  • Experience with industry standard RDMS (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server, PostgresSQL) and No-SQL datastores.
  • Comfortable working with large data sets, complex objects, performing analysis, modelling and linage
  • Demonstrated experience with DevOps technologies (requirements management, version control, automated unit testing, code reviews, build and deployment).
  • Understanding business and functional requirements, translating into technical requirements, and designing solutions
  • Experience in architecture and design of solutions based on functional requirements
  • Experience with application integration, upgrade, decommissioning
  • Experience building and deploying applications in cloud
  • Leading development teams, agile pods
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, and agile methodologies; experience delivering solutions in an agile environment. Experience with TDD and pairing
Desired Skills
  • BSc/BA in Data Science/ Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus [5+ years]
  • SCRUM master and PMP certification is a plus
  • Understanding of DLT, Cloud, AI/ML technologies and use cases in Capital Markets
  • Knowledge of capital markets technology industry trends; knowledge of FinTech’s and their offerings
  • Developing technology strategy, architecture principles, product roadmap
  • Comfortable interacting with business stakeholders and clients for the purposes of understanding of business problems and design of solutions
