Job Description

Reporting into the Head of Controlling, the Trade Finance Manager will support Red Bull Canada (RBCA) with all aspects of planning, analysis, and reporting specific to the sales and operations business. This person will be the key business partner contact for the field sales leadership team in allocating resources, evaluating program ROI, and measuring the progress of key sales initiatives versus their plan. This role is wholly responsible for the management of all aspects of the P&L and Balance Sheet for all sales related items.The Trade Finance Manager will manage a team of 2 direct reports whose responsibilities include the financial management of the following areas: Joint Advertising Trade, POS Capex & Expense, Distribution, and Ad Hoc support of the sales leads of On Premise and Off Premise.Areas that play to your strengthsAll the responsibilities well trust you with:PLANNING AND ANALYSISLead volume, pricing, trade and POS spend planning during revised planning estimatesCoordinate planning process across all business units and RBCD to ensure consolidated RBCA meets their goalsManage P&L and Balance sheet for all Trade & POS itemsPublish monthly reporting materials to assist Off premise and On premise sales departmentsDevelop strategic resource allocation methodology to ensure optimal allocation of resources and assetsBUSINESS SUPPORT & COMMUNICATIONBe able to understand complex business processes and communicate them in a simple, effective mannerProvide cross functional leadership on key RBCA initiatives while acting as the finance lead on key RBCA projectsEstablish a strong working relationship with field sales Directors and Finance StakeholdersTurn fact-based Insights into action, influence business partners utilizing data to create actionable plans and conclusionsBecome a business advisor to the Canadian sales team, developing action plans to hit key financial goals and KPIsPROJECT SUPPORTEnhance ROI analysis for Capex & Trade investmentsSupport new project rollouts (CPM, etc)Improve customer profitability reporting capabilitiesAd-Hoc project support/analysis of other trade finance & sales department initiativesYour areas of knowledge and expertise
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university CPA is preferred
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a controlling/financial analysis role, preferably in consumer goods industry
  • Highly analytical and very skilled individual in the area of profitability analysis
  • Ability to quickly identify and analyze risks & impacts and able to define alternatives
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Capable of communicating precisely and effectively with internal stakeholders up to senior manager level
  • Structured and well-organized
  • Must be self-motivated, self-directed and be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced team environment
  • Experience of managing projects and delivering results
  • Ability to operate well in a matrix environment
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • SAP R/3 and Hyperion preferred
