Job Description

West Park Healthcare Centre helps patients get their lives back by providing inpatient, outpatient and outreach services in specialized rehabilitative and complex care after a life-altering illness or injury such as lung disease, amputation, stroke, and traumatic musculoskeletal injuries. By 2023, West Park’s 27-acre site will be transformed into an integrated campus of care, including a new hospital building and additional community supports such as assisted living for persons with disabilities and seniors. This transformation enables the Centre to evolve its rehabilitative programs and strengthen links to community-based services to meet the future healthcare needs of our local community and the province.Qualifications:· Bachelor’s degree required· Certification or further post-secondary education in technology or digital learning, adult education, or related training design program a strong asset· Demonstrated experience with applied principles of adult learning· Background in clinical practice, clinical education· Experience with digital learning platforms/ tools· Experience with training on technology/ systems implementations· Experience with video and photography capture of training content· Able to operate independently with a minimum of supervision· Desiring a flexible work arrangement that allows for a large % or remote work· Experience on projects with high levels of change management and change transitions requiring learning new skills and technologies· Ideally hospital/healthcare experience· Ability to work independently and create structure· High attention to detail and accuracy· Collaborative and able to navigate with multiple stakeholders· Skilled and problem solving and questioning to identify complete information· Excellent written and verbal communications skills· Able to multi task and manage multiple courses under development· Comfortable operating in ambiguity and moving from task to task without full resolutionAccountabilities:· Collaborate with West Park functional leads to define learning objectives.· Gather internal and external inputs and materials (graphics, instructions, flow charts, policies, video links, guides, and other material).· Create documentation of training instruction required to meet learning objectives in a standard WP format to detail what the learner needs to know to be proficient.· Collaborate with the OR Learning team to translate documentation accurately into course designtrack progress on multiple projects and provide updates for resource management, dependencies and follow up.Please be advised that in order to be eligible for employment at West Park Healthcare Centre employees are required to be fully vaccinated in accordance with the hospital’s COVID-19 Immunization Policy.
