Job Description

We are a drilling and blasting organization with over 50 years in the industry. Our combination of experience and innovation keep us on the front line to meet customers challenging situations. Our office is seeking a receptionist/assistant for temporary employment to cover for 14 weeks. Work involves working with our documenting processes and systems. In this role, your duties will include:

  • Serve visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately.
  • Notify company personnel of visitor arrival.
  • Operate telephone system, answering and directing calls, messages.
  • Keeps a safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
  • Receiving and processing incoming documents, including paper and digital file formats.
  • Scanning and logging credit card slips with weekly/monthly invoices.
  • Organizing documents according to classification categories.
  • Filing hard-copy documents and electronic file formats.
  • Copying, scanning, faxing, and emailing documents.
  • Storing documents and distributing documented materials to intended recipients.
  • Securely discarding duplicate and obsolete documents.
  • Archiving, retrieving, and distributing filed documents on request.
  • Updating office calendar of projects and events.
  • Performing other administrative duties, when required.
To ensure success in this position, you should demonstrate knowledge file formats, and File Explorer. The successful candidate will display excellent organizational skills and a proven ability to consistently meet deadlines. A detailed and thorough individual with a positive outlook, you enjoy working in a busy and dynamic environment. Exceptional communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, an ability to prioritize effectively and someone who can be relied upon to accurately process important documents are essential skills for this role.Skills:

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Qualification in office administration, secretarial work, or related training.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience
  • Proficiency in computer software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.
  • Experience in organizing, filing, archiving, and distributing documents.
  • Knowledge of document classification categories and comfortable with computerized systems.
  • Experience working with office equipment, such as printers, copiers, scanners, and fax machines.
  • Ability to securely store or discard documents and maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
