Job Description

Position Title:Manager, North America Capital ProcurementPosition Type: Regular - Full-TimeRequisition ID: 23141Please note this role can be based out of any of our three North America corporate offices: Oakbrook Terrace, IL; Florenceville, New Brunswick; Toronto, OntarioThis role will lead developing and executing procurement plans for the applicable capital projects within the region by working collaboratively with stakeholders within the regional business.The role will include partnering with the project team (engineering, technical services, manufacturing, SUM, QA), global engineering and globalamp; regional procurement teams to ensure the successful execution of project purchasing requirements supporting project goals in regard to:

  • Safety
  • Quality
  • Budget
  • Schedule
  • Optimizing Total Cost of Ownership
Tasks include leading execution of:
  • Project budgeting and procurement strategy inputsamp; development
  • Project Procurement Plan (PPP) development and execution, supporting particularly complex sourcing events and negotiations
  • Executing project procurementamp; tendering activities to get applicable contracts in place with suppliers
  • Regional supplier relationship interface and management
  • Supporting global supplier relationship management through engagement with applicable suppliers and global stakeholders
  • Drafting, Reviewingamp; Submitting Business Award Recommendations (BARs) for senior leadership approval of supplier selectionamp; rationale.
This role will have 1 direct report based on assigned project priorities.The role is part of the Global Capital Procurement team and reports to the Director of Global Capital Procurement, with dotted line responsibilities to the applicable project leads and key stakeholder relationship with the following functions:
  • Regional Engineering Leadership
  • Global Engineering
  • Technical Services
  • Start Up Management (SUM)amp; Manufacturing
  • Legalamp; Compliance
  • Regionalamp; Global Finance
  • Site Engineering
Knowledge/Qualifications/ExperienceTo effectively perform in this job the position holder should have:
  • Education - Bachelor #39;s Degree, preferably in procurement/business, project management or Engineering.
  • Master of Business Administration is a plus
  • Minimum 7-8+ year #39;s procurement and/or engineering/project management experience
  • Certifications in disciplines such as Procurement (SCMP/CPSM) or Project Management is a plus
  • Demonstrated Project Management experience is a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and procurement software (Coupa)
Leadership Abilities:
  • Proven capability to develop and maintain strong collaborative business relationships across multiple sites and countries within NA
  • Ability to influence effective decision-making with cross functional teams
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with diversityamp; inclusion sensitivity
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively articulate positions and recommendations (electronically and verbally) to various audiences and at all levels of the business
  • Ability to manage both; execution of and delegation of tasks and measure progress across multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently and within teams on both strategy and tactical projects with minimal supervision.
  • Program management skills: identification and management of stakeholders, milestone development and tracking of progress, resource management, risk mitigation, detailed action planning, and basic familiarity with change management.
