The department includes7 professors and an instructor, and approximately 100 undergraduate students in Geology, Environmental Geoscienceand Environmental Science, and 11 graduate (M.Sc.) students in Geology, Environmental Science and AppliedGeomatics.The successful candidate should have a broad background in the earth sciences and a dedication to teaching of fieldcourses and in at least three of the areas: metamorphic geology; tectonics and regional geology; mineralogy;introductory geology; introductory atmospheric science and climatology. The candidate should be willing to develop astrong field-based research program and supervise graduate and honours students.Qualifications: The successful candidate should possess a terminal degree in Geology or Earth Science.
