Applicants with the appropriate experience will be considered at the rank of Associate or Full Professor.Acadia University’s Master of Education (Counselling) Program is accredited by the Council on Accreditation ofCounsellor Education Programs.Applicants must possess a graduate degree in Counselling, Counselling Psychology, or a closely related discipline, withpreference given to candidates who possess, or are near completion of, a doctorate degree. Applicants must beregistered or certified by a professional counselling body. In addition, applicants must have a minimum of five yearsprofessional experience in the practice of counselling, with priority given to those with greater depth and breadth ofexperience. Counsellor education experience in graduate teaching, the provision of clinical supervision, and a developingresearch program in the discipline of counselling, will be considered assets. The successful candidate will teach in theMEd (Counselling) program, which may entail travel to off-site cohorts across the Province.
