The successful candidate will teach 8 laboratory coursesections and one lecture course section during the academic year. The current teaching load assigned to this positionincludes: introductory organic chemistry I laboratory (fall semester, 3 sections), introductory organic chemistry I lecture(fall semester, 1 section), organic chemistry II laboratory (winter semester, 2 sections), and introductory biochemistrylaboratory (winter semester, 3 sections). The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical aspects oflaboratory preparation, and management of associated teaching assistants. The successful candidate will be expected toengage in scholarly activities and serve on committees within the Department of Chemistry or more broadly at AcadiaUniversity.Qualifications: The successful candidate should have a minimum of a laboratory-based MSc degree in Chemistry orBiochemistry. Previous teaching experience is highly preferred.
